Collect potted herbs and vegetables and savor wine pairings with herb-prepared dishes at the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail’s 25th Annual Wine & Herb Festival. April 28th through the 30th or May 5th through the 7th, 2017.
Green thumb or not, you do not want to miss the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail’s 25th Annual Wine & Herb Festival. Even the worst gardeners can appreciate a good wine!
This annual, popular celebration will help you get a head start on your herb garden as well as tickle your taste buds. The multi-layered event includes all 16 Cayuga Lake Wine Trail wineries presenting their wines paired with herb-prepared cuisine.
To attend, purchase your tickets and choose your starting point from one of Cayuga Lake Wine Trail’s 16 wineries. On the day of the event, the starting winery will have a wine glass, plant carrier, garden plan and the beginnings of your Wine & Herb Festival recipe collection. Now it’s up to you!
Attendees will travel between the wineries, preferably with a designated driver – discounted designated driver tickets are available. As you visit each participating winery, you’ll sample wine-paired offerings, collect a recipe, and the related herb or vegetable plant for your own garden. Wineries will also be offering up to 3 additional wine tastings per ticket holder.

The most compelling aspect of the Wine & Herb Festival, beyond the wine tastings, of course, is the opportunity to recreate the dishes you sample along the way. Having the recipe, the fresh herbs and veggies from your own garden, plus the perfectly paired wine … what a great idea!
