Granger Homestead and Carriage MuseumStep back in time with a visit to Canandaigua’s Granger Homestead and Carriage Museum! This 1816 Federal-style home museum features over 100 horse-drawn vehicles and offers both house and carriage tours. The 19th century Law Office is also the location of a number of events throughout the year.

The Granger Homestead and Carriage Museum is an 1816 Federal-style mansion located in Canandaigua, NY. The historic home and grounds were home to Gideon Granger, Postmaster General of the United States under Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. In fact, he also holds the record for his 13 years as Postmaster General. Granger (1767 – 1822) was also a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives.

Granger Homestead Festival of Trees 2017The holiday season is almost upon us and with it the 2017 Granger Homestead Festival of Trees! Come see a wonderland of unique and expressive holiday trees, wreaths, and other decorations. November 10th through December 3rd, 2017 in Canadaigua, NY.

The annual Granger Homestead Festival of Trees, now celebrating its 23rd year, has become a much-loved Finger Lakes tradition. Christmas trees, wreaths, and other seasonal decorations will fill the first floor of the historic mansion. Each item has been created for the show by an organization, artist, or individual and visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorites.

Even our Canandaigua B&B, Sutherland House, is getting into the act with a tree!
